Stylish Travel Tote.
Divine.ca Fashion and Beauty, September 23, 2011.
"We love a fashionable and functional travel bag. And when it’s multi-functional, well, needless to say, it’s a bona fide love affair! Our latest must-have: the Tilley Cambridge Carryall. Why it’s so great: a double snap at the base easily converts this gem into a computer bag, a purse, or a tote! What’s more, this handmade Canadian product is ever-so-stylish thanks to its Italian leather handles and adjustable strap, antique brass zipper closure, and safari green wax cotton finish. All aboard!"
Note from Tilley Vancouver we will have these new bags in store mid October!

Packing for a short stay.

“Skirts are incredibly useful when travelling, as they easily transition from casual to dressy, and offer more options than a dress. True Blues Ten Panel Skirt, $129, Tilley Endurables, tilley.com.”
“Look for clothing in a jersey and other soft materials that will not only feel great, but can easily roll and pack into your suitcase. Lux Knit Cowl Neck Sleeveless Top, $65, Tilley Endurables, tilley.com.”
Dave from Tilley Endurables Inc recently appeared in the Kayak Angler Online.
"Tilley Endurables was showing their outstanding hats, including the paddle-worthy T7MO - short for Mesh Organic cotton hat. The broad brim is longer in the back, the better to keep from burning your neck. There's ventillating mesh around the crown and a retainer. It's soft, floats, repels rain, offers a secret pocket, and is insured against loss for two years."
The National Post and The Globe and Mail both recently ran articles on the neck cobbers.
The Buy: A cooling neck wrap
Nathalie Atkinson, National Post, July 21, 2011.
"Several Christmases ago my parents – whom time has proven to be genetically unable to resist a gadget or gewgaw that might be useful in only very narrowly specific circumstances – bought me this jaunty neckerwraperchief thing. Presumably, its optimum use is hiking in the Amazon jungle during a heat wave (something I have never been known to do). It’s from Australia and called the Cobber (Aussie slang for mate, apparently) and contains some magical crystals that, when soaked in cold water for 30 minutes, retain said coldness for three days. Three days.
Why wear what is essentially a mysteriously-filled cold compress wrapped around the neck? Because as a toque-covered head in winter is to keeping warm, so are the corotid arteries in summer to regulating body temperature. You could knot a waterlogged kerchief or facecloth instead, but it would drip inconveniently all over you. And then dry out. The Cobber, on the other hand, will not. It will not be particularly fashionable, either, but it will make all that tropical jungle hiking pleasantly bearable."
We're pleased to carry this item in our store for $20. For more details click here.
