Retirement party
As a travel theme for our first store we chose Easter Island, and John built a ferro-cement Head, which is now busy gathering moss in our backyard garden.Later he decided Egypt was a better theme, - what else can you do with Easter Island - and started with a wooden camel.
With more products and space becoming a premium, the camel was retired to trophy-like wall displays, one for the head, one for the tail. The legs went into storage.
These days the store has a Pharaoh, Bastet the cat, and heiroglyphed pillars and panels.
That's what comes of rainy winters with time on one's handyman's hands.
