Lynne & Katherine, Spain adventure
This year we booked a bike tour in China, but we were the only people on the tour so off we went with the young guide and his young apprentice and us sixty something westerners. We wondered how this little group would manage for 12 days cycling in the Sechuan province.
We had a fabulous trip, eating in little street cafes, waiting on the roadside for the yak herd to pass, warming our hands by the fire in a local house, dining on yak yogurt, accepting a gift of apples from a little old lady only to share them with nomad children a few days later.
People were very curious about us, two mature westerners riding bikes. The first thing people would ask the guide is "where are they from", followed by "how old are they?"
Tilley clothing always has a way of finding its way into our packs. My sister and I are now planning our 10th trip."
