Maureen in Australia and Egypt
"In Alice Springs I met a British lady who had been a nurse in the outback during WWII and was back for one last look. My hat with the wide brim was a saviour from the hot sun, and the cool beer at the local helped as well.

However, enroute to Ayers Rock, the hat didn't keep the wee flies out of your eyes and nose -- had to resort to the netting over my Tilley hat.

In Egypt, we had a true ride on camels into the desert where we saw the Monestary of St Simeon and the Aga Khan Mausoleum. It was a ride I will never forget, and I received many compliments for my 'fashionable' Tilley."
