"This spring, the water is so high that the docks are floating out of their cribs.
Filling the kayak and paddle boat with water for weight might help...
There is still snow in the bush and the lake keeps rising --- ice is gradually going off the lake.
Very strange spring, but at least it's here!"
A few days later he continues:
"The ice is mush now, and will disappear in a couple of days.
The water is so high that parts of the dock are floating, and I've roped the dock in, just in case. Part of the southern-most 'finger' is under water; the closer finger floated!!"
