Bill writes: "Karen has always been super cautious with her Hat. She keeps it in a plastic cover, doesn't like it to get crushed in the suitcase, and of course, would never think of allowing it to get dirty.

I have always told her the motto is "Give 'em Hell" but she never quite believed me. On this trip her hat got crushed, rained on, dirty and generally well used. Back at home, into the washer it went and it came out looking just as good as the day it was purchased.

She has conceded that your motto is quite true and has decided not to look after it quite as well as she did before."
