The Hat is a great way to meet Canadians abroad. I met several in Chichen Itza, because of each other's Hats. This has also happened on the Orient Express, on a catamaran between France and England, and most recently in Tahiti.

Of course not every Hat wearer you meet is Canadian, but they're always people worth meeting."
