Jerry on the Acropolis
"The photo was taken on June 6 - a view from the northwest of the Parthenon. We were one of the first on the Acropolis that morning as shown by the length of the early morning shadows and the lack of other tourists.In the background is Parthenon III, the third of three temples built on the same spot and dedicated to Athena Parthenos.
It has lasted over 2400 years. I expect to get more than 1% of that for the life of my Tilley hat and shorts!"
