Dave in Haiti
"Hi!I have been a Tilley user and fan for years... from Feb 25 - March 25 I was a mental health volunteer in Port-Au-Prince. (I have worked there before but this was to help people after the earthquake).
This picture (the Haitian man happily consented to the photo) is on the grounds of "Hopital Espwa" (a German-charity run surgical unit - tent hospital). It was very, very hot and the man (through the interpreter who took the shot) wanted counselling help... he had lost three generations of his family - his wife, his children and his parents... and his shattered leg is being reconstructed by the "Humanica Doctors" from Germany.
I wore my Tilleys (as you can see both pants and shirt) - they stood the heat and the humidity and were comfortable enough to allow me to sit with the man for an hour - sitting on broken concrete and cardboard. I could rinse them out when needed with no problem... I was asked about my Tilleys so often by workers from around the world - and twice as I passed someone also wearing your wonderful clothes the would smile and just say "Tilley!"
Your clothes are great!!!
Dave"
