Rabbit took the Hat?

Rabbit took the Hat?
John of York, England, was wearing his new Tilley when it was blown away because he had not bothered with the laces.

The sudden gust was totally unexpected and carried the Hat in a completely unknown direction. John spent several hours searching for it in the shrubbery. It must have blown over the houses and across the railway to end up in Hob Moor.

Six months later a dog retrieved the Hat from a rabbit hole where it must have over-wintered.

The dog's mistress put it in her washer and later found John's name and phone number inside, and was able to return it to its owner.

The Hat's brim had been slightly damaged, otherwise it is in remarkably good shape!
